Reduce Toxic Chemical Use in Your Community
TURI's Community Program strives to help organizations raise awareness of the hazards of toxic chemical use and introduce safer alternatives within their neighborhoods.
We do this by providing:
- Grants to non-profit organizations and municipalities
- Education, training and outreach on toxic use reduction methods and alternatives
- Resources to assist communities and individuals reduce toxics
On this web site you can learn about our Community Grant Program; visit a model community to explore how schools, homes, small businesses, and more can all work towards establishing toxic-free neighborhoods; and learn about toxics that show up in our daily lives through activities such as pest control, cleaning, dry cleaning, personal care, home renovations and more.
